Spring Beaver Trapping in Maine

Spring is the best time of the year for trapping beavers in Maine. We offer guided tours and lodging for your Maine beaver trapping adventure.
Come join us for some spring beaver trapping in northern Maine. With estimated populations somewhere between 45,000 and 70,000 this is an action packed trap line. You will learn trapping techniques using mostly foothold with drowning rigs and underwater conibear sets. You will also learn start to finish fur handling techniques and keep at least 1 of each species harvested with the opportunity to keep more.

All trips include meals, lodging and transportation during the excursions.

Fall Trapping Tours in Maine

Fall trapping in Maine offers a variety of options. Water and land long-line trapping for Marten, Fisher, fox, coyote, raccoon, beaver, otter, muskrat, mink and ermine.

This consists of long-lining for Pine marten and fisher and catching the occasional ermine or mink. We will also set active beaver flowages and active waterways along the way for beaver, otter, mink and muskrat.

You will learn to find signs of furbearers in the area as well as trap setting techniques and how to handle fur properly. Clients can keep 1 of every species caught with the opportunity to keep more.
All meals, lodging and transportation during the trip are included.
